All in Good Time
We do not like these times. We don't understand the meaning of these times. And yet, they are important to our character and our future. That's why this week we're diving into the theme of "desert times." These hard times have positive aspects too.
Have a WONDER-filled week!
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." (Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV)
I have a friend who always rolls her eyes at this verse, but when we look at each other, we have to laugh, because it might be one of the most stressful verses in the Bible.
Imagine you've been waiting for the love of your life for a long time and someone sends you this verse. It may be frustrating at first. Or you're waiting for the healing of an illness that's been bothering you so much, and your eyes fall on this very Scripture. At first, it doesn't seem to be an encouragement.
But what if behind this phrase, "everything has its time," God offers the greatest protection, the greatest blessing that you could ever imagine?
What if God wants to meet you through this situation? Perhaps your heart is busy with other things, and this is the way He can connect with you. If everything always goes right, according to your plans, will you ever feel your need for God?
friend, I want you to know, God always wants to meet with you, even in your pain.
This sentence may sound a bit trite, I know, but don't let that take away the truth and joy behind it. What can be more beautiful than meeting with God?
Most of the time this happens exactly when we are struggling with something that could distract us from God. Especially in our crisis times, God likes to meet us with His incomprehensible love!
In order for this to happen, our hearts need to be open to Him. Therefore, open your heart—even if it hurts!
Do you have an open heart for Him right now, even if He doesn't give you your miracle right away, and if He keeps saying, "All in My time?"
You are a miracle!
