And a solution for this too!
Do you sometimes get “surprised” by bills, friend?
I just asked you this question yesterday. And not even two hours after I finished writing that message, believe it or not, an even much, much, much bigger—unexpected—bill came my way!
friend, this unexpected news really knocked the ground out from under me. I was so shaken that I had to cancel my afternoon appointment just to calm myself down.
But after I calmed down, I found the strength and clarity to reorganize my thoughts: “What just happened?” Oh no! It was obvious! Clear as day! I had just shared a message full of faith with so many people, and clearly, the devil didn’t like that… “The thief comes only to steal…” (John 10:10 NIV)… even your good mood!
friend, it’s okay to feel down for a moment, it’s only human. But don’t give these emotions more time than they deserve! You can choose: to move forward controlled by your emotions—or by your faith!
Just yesterday I said: The solution is already here! And yes, yesterday it was in my case, because someone had put money in my handbag. Today, I still don’t know where all this money is going to come from. And that’s why I have to choose not to dwell on my emotions any longer, but instead, run to God!
You can guide your emotions, and place your trust in God!
How? By reminding yourself of the truth, just like David did: “I remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds. …What god is as great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles!” (from Psalm 77:11-14 NIV)
And then pray with full confidence: “Lord, I believe that once again, you will make the impossible possible! I know you won’t let me down! I thank you in advance! Amen.”
You are a miracle!
