“Are you riding your bike, friend?

So, I really enjoy riding my bike, but… Honestly, I barely get the chance to do it. I’m usually on tour, and when I’m at home, I’m busy writing and recording new "A Miracle Every Day" messages☺️.
But last summer, I thought to myself: “Now, you’re staying home a little more. Get your bike repaired, and then go on some amazing rides.” 🚲
You can guess what happened, right? The end of summer came, and my freshly repaired bike was still sitting exactly where it was at the beginning of the summer.
Yes, I have a beautiful bike — that’s for sure. One that would love to take me places. But as long as I don’t get out there with it, nothing new happens.
And in that moment, I realized: “That’s exactly how it is with my faith. Yes, I have a beautiful faith. That’s for sure. But as long as I don’t take it out there, nothing new happens.”
friend, could it be that we look at our faith and think, “It’s nice that I have faith,” and then leave it at that?
I’m going to mention a pretty strong verse now, not to scare us, but to shake us up a bit. I can’t help that it’s exactly how it’s written in the Bible — and we want to take EVERYTHING in the Bible seriously:
“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (James 2:17 NIV)Sure, on one hand, this means: “friend, get on your bike, live your faith,” but on the other hand — and how beautiful is this — it’s a confirmation: “friend, when you step out in faith, it will have wonderful impacts!” Yay!
So, what else can I say, except: “I’m going to get on my bike now, even though fall has come, and it will be a little tougher in winter. Because I will experience miracles through it!”Are you coming with me, friend?
Because only when you live your faith each day, will you SEE things in a brand-new way!
You are a miracle!
