Are You Showing Love?

Today, in honor of all fathers, I wish you a blessed and joyful Father’s Day!😊 

You know when you've just had a dream and then you wake up feeling like you're still in the dream and everything feels real?

I had a dream that I was on an airplane. In business class, even. But because I was a former flight attendant, I knew how things should work. I grumbled the whole time:

"The flight attendant would have to serve us this on a tray and not just like that. Besides, she is not dressed correctly according to regulations," etc. After waking up I was really perplexed, because it didn't fit at all with my other dreams.

I asked God, "What do You want to tell me with this?" And the answer came promptly: "This is how people treat each other, not only in the world, even in My house, the church. They forget that I even put them in business class!"

Then Matthew 22:39 popped into my head, "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39 NIV )

friend, I think we all catch ourselves nagging from time to time, overlooking how nice we have it. Of course people around us will make mistakes! But so do we.

If we show love to others in spite of everything, God will bring us joy, as well as those we show love to.

friend, decide today to love others as you love yourself. Decide to love yourself, the people around you, and the church— our universal family. 

All it takes is a gesture, a gift, an encouragement, a smile, or just a text message...I'm already excited to know HOW you will do it. One thing I know for sure, "It will definitely make a difference!"
