friend, are you truly healthy?

Publication date Nov 18, 2021

So many people take their health for granted until they lose it. Though challenging in many ways, the response to COVID-19 by many nations demonstrates that health is more important than business, money, relationships, entertainment, education, the arts, fashion, and countless other priorities we once had.

Paul, the Apostle, once prayed this prayer: “May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23, NIV) I’m convinced our new theme of health is vitally important.

friend, are you healthy? I previously spoke about total health in my courses Freedom from Toxic Faith and Total Health. In these courses, I take a detailed look at the seven spheres of health: physical, emotional, spiritual, relational, financial, career, and community. Each sphere impacts the others. Here are a few secrets to help you on your renewed journey of health:

  1. Your physical body needs to be a priority. As you know, it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It’s also the foundation of everything else.
  2. Each sphere of your health requires an investment of time and energy. If you neglect one, it will have a negative impact on the whole.
  3. Each sphere has its own set of needs and obligations. For example, your body needs a balanced diet of healthy foods. If you don’t eat well and exercise, you may experience life-threatening conditions that require surgery or medication.

We will spend more time this week focusing on your health. I’m praying the Holy Spirit will help you to identify which spheres of health you may need to adjust.

May the Spirit of God open your eyes to see yourself clearly. May you start the brave journey of pursuing greater health and healing, and may you conquer sickness, diseases, and injuries. May Jesus bring healing into your body, and may you cooperate with Him with wisdom and practical solutions.

Because you’re a miracle, and I love you more than shooting stars.
