What are You willing to share?
Thank you again for joining me today. I do not take for granted that your time is precious. Thank you for sharing a few minutes with me! I pray that God uses these words to encourage your heart and to make you expectant of all the miracles He has in store for you!
The true account of the original church is such a beautiful picture of how Jesus inspires people to share. Moving beyond religion, the original church allowed their relationship with Jesus to affect an entire community! Listen to Acts 4:32-35:
“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.” (Acts 4:32-35, NIV)
What an amazing statement – they shared everything they had. Wow! And to make it even more powerful, the meeting of needs was tangible evidence that God’s grace was powerfully at work in their community.
At the church where I am privileged to pastor, we have a Farm that produces vegetables and produce for our community. Every year, we give away over 100,000 pounds of fresh food to hungry people and we are SO blessed to share! Our community is changed through the simple act of sharing. Listen to this story from David, a person who reads A Miracle Every Day and how he shares the good news of Jesus...
"I share the daily stuff with people all the time. I copy and paste it into group texts. I sent it to a friend of mine who said ‘it’s so amazing that you have someone so close to you that you can talk about all your stuff – they just get you!’ And, I echoed everyone else’s sentiment: there are some miraculous elements to what Grant and Déborah are doing with other people’s help that seems to be so topically accurate at many points in time."
David goes on to say this about the message of Jesus and the impact of A Miracle Every Day:
"But the message that has been sent every time I’ve read it, which is every day, is one of characterizing Jesus as someone of love, who’s not a condemning kind of guy. He’s a welcoming kind of guy. I think that message for me – religion has been often a detractor from God – and you guys go the extra mile to see to it that that never is the case…that you are kind of remedying healing for things that people have experienced from religion, ill intentions, maybe man’s intentions along the way for so long. It’s so good! I really believe in what you guys are doing. The content, in particular, is phenomenal. I just couldn’t say enough about it, and I am happy to support it!"
friend, sharing is a powerful tool that makes a difference. We are blessed to share and when it is shared again, God is doing the miracle of multiplication! My friend, you can be a part of a miracle today simply through sharing, the question is “what can you share” that will bring God glory? Whatever it is, share away and see what God will do!
You are a miracle!
