friend, do you know the power of wonder?

Publication date Jul 6, 2020
In the rush of your daily activities, my friend, I invite you to stop for a moment, lift up your eyes toward heaven, and think about the majesty of God’s dwelling place. Then, turn your gaze to what’s around you and observe how the earth resonates with His perfection, how nature echoes His beauty and sensitivity. One day, the psalmist also lifted up his eyes, and here’s the praise that burst forth from his lips: “God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of His praise. His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, and there His power was hidden.” (the Bible, Habakkuk 3:3-4, NKJV)  friend, in your hectic life, it’s good to know how to stop and be filled with wonder again and again! Even about the smallest things...a singing bird, the light breeze on your face, a smiling child...Life is sweeter when we know how to let it fill us with wonder. Here’s a challenge for today: purposefully pause your activities and take the time to observe the world around you. Breathe in...breathe out...thank God for the breath of life, and then continue on in your day. I’ll be doing the same. Let’s enjoy the life God gave us to the full. May nothing ever make us lose our wonder!  You’re in my prayers today!
