Don’t just stop with this idea!
"Well Déborah, I took a look at what you’re up to nowadays. Yeah, it’s not bad at all." I smiled as I read these words from an old friend.
Back then, I was starting out with a group of young people, and we had lots of plans together. But over the years, it somehow just stayed at the planning stage. We had meeting after meeting, but we never really moved forward… That’s when I realized it was time for me to go and truly live out my dreams.
Have you ever experienced that in your own life? What are your plans, friend?
Can I encourage you today, whatever it is: Don’t just stop with your ideas; make a conscious decision to move toward action! Yeah, be careful not to get so caught up in planning that you forget to act!
And I’m not just talking about the big plans, like, I’d like to write a book. I also mean that small idea you had, to buy a bouquet of flowers for your neighbor who’s going through a rough time. That’s a beautiful, kind thought! But don’t stop with that idea. To experience joy, you have to move toward action.
Yes, there are also plans that, despite all your efforts, don’t come to fruition. Plans over which you have no personal control. Is it the hope for a relationship? The desire for a child? Or something else?
Even here, I want to encourage you: Anyone who puts their plan in God’s hands can trust that they’re moving in the right direction!
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 NLT)
So, friend, once again: What are your ideas? Are you ready to stand up today and move toward action? Whether that means doing something or trusting that God will do something?
Don’t just stop with your ideas; I can’t wait to see your ideas become reality!
You are a miracle!
