Find your vision

Publication date Jan 30, 2022

What’s your vision for 2022? Do you have a vision that is compelling, rewarding, exciting, and significant? The Bible warns us, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs 29:18, KJV) Creating and casting vision is one of the most important strategies for an incredible 2022. Do you know how to find a vision that is worth living and dying for?

I remember my first year playing junior hockey for the Verdun Maple Leafs. It was a big deal back then. We played in a large stadium, and fans paid to watch us play. The administration and coaches were top quality, and I felt honored to play in this organization. There was an aura of excellence that seemed to elevate our expectations and goals. We had a vision to win the championship.

Our corporate vision had an effect on each player. We worked hard, fought hard, and won a historic number of games because we had a vision that compelled us. I’m not sure about anyone else on the team, but I developed my own goals and visions. I wanted to score a goal or assist every game. I kept track of my progress on a small schedule we each received at the beginning of the year. I found that schedule two weeks ago when I was looking through a bunch of old boxes. My goals and visions were recorded in red ink and jumped out at me from 40 years ago.

friend, visions will drive and propel you to new heights. Paul the Apostle once said, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14, KJV) Set some lofty goals, dream a few inspirational dreams, and watch a better future rise before your eyes.

God loves you and has an amazing plan for your life. Let’s have a fresh, new vision for 2022!
