For this you have to Stand Up!
Do you know the feeling of being stuck in your current situation, friend?
I don't know what it is with you, but with me it was the feeling of powerlessness in relation to many things that suddenly happened in my life, but over which I had no control.
Do you know what I mean, friend?
When I felt this way, I went for a walk along the Rhine, over a bridge. There was a grate on this bridge, so people wouldn't fall into the water. And honestly, I sat down on the bottom of this bridge and cried.
From this position I could look through this lattice, and behind it I saw the evening sun reflected in the Rhine. It was a wonderful picture, a peaceful picture that presented itself to me. I wanted to capture it and pulled out my cell phone to take a picture. But to get a nice photo—without the grate—I had to stand up.
friend, at that moment, this truth clicked in my mind. I know for a fact that God wants me to pass on to you what I heard from Him at that moment. It was clear that this picture was painted in that moment not only for me, but also for you:
If you want to see hope, you must stand up and lift your gaze!
“And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.” (Acts 22:16 NIV)
This verse comes from the moment God made Himself known to Saul, (see Acts 22:8 NIV) and his life was completely changed. But in order to experience this change, he also had to stand up and look!
friend, when I stood up, I could enjoy this beautiful sight without looking through the grate. It took only one thing—my standing up.
Only if YOU stand up, will you see the many beautiful things you can experience. Set out TODAY, trusting in God's help!
You are a miracle!
