Have you taken on a victim role?
Sometimes we say things like "I think God has forgotten me" or "He can't love me because I'm not perfect." Be careful…because at the moment you say something like that, you've taken on a victim role.
Right when we start to believe that God isn't paying attention to us because we're not good enough, we become victims in our minds. When everything in our lives suddenly gets chaotic and we believe it's because God isn't as good as His Word claims, we lose hope and power.
Yes, right at that moment, you take on a victim role, friend, which Jesus has already paid for in your place:
"How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14, NKJV)
Ask yourself today, friend, "What am I believing? The truth that Jesus took the sacrificial role in my life long ago when He went to the cross for everything…yes, everything? Or do I still believe the lie that God cannot be faithful—or that I'm not entitled to His forgiveness or love?"
We are to accept Jesus' sacrifice and not take on a victim mentality.
friend, it is already accomplished…what a gift!! Now deciding what you accept is up to you.
