Hope deferred makes the heart sick
Millions of people around the world have lost hope. Suicide rates, opioid deaths, and stress have reached epidemic proportions. Have you ever heard the expression “the cure is worse than the sickness”?
I have spoken for over 15 months about the long-term effects of a fear mentality in regards to COVID-19. I firmly believe that prevention is so important. Sanitation, masks, supplements, a healthy lifestyle, and other measures can help us fight a virus that can be seemingly harmless in some cases or take lives in others.
I’ve had COVID-19, and I was tested for antibodies. Hallelujah, the results came back very positive. My body fought the disease and won. But others have fought and lost. If you have friends or family members who have lost their lives because of COVID-19, I’m so sorry.
Many people have been locked in their homes for over a year, and others have lost their jobs and businesses. I walked through a large mall a few weeks ago, and it felt like a tomb. Many businesses were shut down. The world seems to have lost hope.
The Bible says that “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” (Proverbs 13:12, NIV)
friend, have you lost hope? Maybe someone you love has been gripped by depression or discouragement. I totally understand how you feel, so I need to share a word of encouragement with you: “There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.” (Proverbs 23:18, NIV)
Trust God with me today, put your faith in Him, and He will give you a future. You will not be cut off because He loves you and you were born to experience miracles.
