How about a small miracle today, friend?
I had just arrived in southern France, my place of retreat. It's where I always come when I'm writing new books. But the Wifi is definitely an issue. It's expensive, and most of the time, it doesn't work anyways…yikes! And that was the case at that moment.
I'd paid extra for the Wifi and was getting annoyed about the money I'd lost. Have you ever had moments like this, friend? Right then, my thoughts began to spiral downwards—I began thinking, "I knew this would happen…"
But let's stop right there! In times like these, do we think that Jesus can do "small" miracles…and that He wants to as well? :-) I believe that we must learn to include Jesus in every detail of our lives, not just the "big" problems!
"You are the God who does wonders…"! (Psalm 77:15, CJB)
I made a choice right then to actively resist my negative thoughts, take action (it's so important to do what the Lord shows us and not just wait for a miracle!), and email the provider. At the same time, I prayed, "Jesus, it seems like this issue is already trying to throw off my start to the week. But…I choose to let go of these thoughts and trust You! Thank You for always taking care of me."
And—less than five minutes after I sent my email—I received a response! "Of course, we'll refund your money right away." Wow, thank You, Jesus!
friend, Wifi that doesn't work may seem like just a small thing. But isn't it precisely these little things that can rob us of our joy? Why not believe for "small miracles," too?
God always has miracles in store—even for the little things! :-)
Do you believe that Jesus is interested in the "small thing" that's on your heart today, friend? I know He is! And that's why I'd like us to pray together…"Jesus, You see this small thing that's important to me. I hadn't really considered that it could be important to You, too! So I'm asking You today for an everyday miracle…it would really help me a lot! Thank You for loving me so much that even my 'little things' matter to You. In Jesus' name, amen!"
You are a miracle!
