How to have a good start
What is your main focus when you hope for something new in your life or start a new phase? Is it primarily about the goal you want to achieve, or about the One who makes all things possible?
The Bible encourages us in this regard, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33, NIV)
"First" means above all else, most importantly, or from the beginning. In Greek, the word for beginning is "proton." Protons are elementary particles found in the heart of atoms, in the nucleus. Interestingly, they carry a positive charge.
Before creation, there is always the Creator. He is the beginning and the end. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End" (Revelation 22:13, NIV)
Think about what you prioritize in your life, what is most important to you in your daily life. Do you behave as if God truly comes first…
—In your relationships with others
—in dealing with your family
—in your dreams and plans
—in dealing with yourself
Indeed, Christ is the "holy" proton. The center, the core around which our lives must revolve. He gives us the positive energy our lives need!
In the Bible, we read "... for he trusted in the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not." (Romans 4:17, NIV)
This is how God works in our lives. When God speaks, the entire creation begins to move to obey Him. When we place God above all else, we empower Him to call things into our lives and create things that did not exist before!
friend, I encourage you to put God at the beginning of everything you do and hope for. May He be the center of your being, the center of your dreams, the center of your plans.
I invite you to pray with me, "Lord, I decide to give You first place in my life. As soon as I wake up, may my thoughts revolve around You, so that I can trust You with everything else. You know my dreams and plans. From today onwards, I submit myself to You and give You first place, so that You can act in my life. Thank You, Lord! In Jesus' name, Amen."
You are a miracle!
