If / then…

Publication date Oct 6, 2024

It's well known that many people think: "If I had this, then...". And friend I could easily join the crowd and start thinking the same way: "If I were married and had kids, then...".

But that's not how I think because with God, it’s not: "If YOU do this, then…", but rather: "Because I…therefore…". And I absolutely love that about Him!

It's important for you, while you long for something you don't have:

Don’t believe you’re missing out on something, because the only thing you could miss out on is living your life in this moment and accepting it with gratitude!

friend, over the weekend, I was with my family. My youngest brother, for example, has a lot of work and two young children. For him, the most valuable thing is being able to relax over the weekend.

I, on the other hand, have an incredibly busy life with all the work surrounding my mission. If I don't consciously call for a pause, there won't be any breaks. So, I cherish the moments with my nephews and soak up the children's love!

But I don't think: "If I could always have this, then my life would be better." Just as my brother doesn't think: "Oh man, if I didn’t have kids, then I’d be more rested." No, we accept what we've been given and decide to live every moment consciously and with gratitude!

The key is to accept your life as it is, experience each moment consciously, and move forward with trust…because God wants to give you more!

God wants to give us what we long for, but maybe He first wants to see if we live our lives as they are with awareness and gratitude.

Don’t forget, It’s not wanting something more or different, but acceptance of what you have, with gratitude, that  makes the difference..

We serve God by the power of his Spirit. We boast about what Christ Jesus has done. We don’t put our trust in who we are or what we can do. (Philippians 3:3 NIRV)

Amen.

You are a miracle!
