Inspire one another

Publication date Dec 12, 2021

Have you ever met a person who inspires you to be better, do better, and feel better?

The word “inspiration” has tremendous significance to me. It means a sudden, brilliant, creative, or timely idea and divine influence. To me, it means “in spirit.” Words, actions, and images can all be “in spirit.” There are so many ways to inspire people. That’s why I’m thinking about Doug Carter. He’s been a huge part of EQUIP, a leader in wild and difficult places. He’s served as a pastor, a college president, and in a few other ministries. Doug has stirred me to serve, train, and love others. He’s an inspirational leader for sure.

The Bible encourages us to “consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:24, NIV)

friend, who inspires you? Whom do you inspire?

I met Doug about 15 years ago while I was going through a few challenges. You see, I never have “problems”...I just have challenges. Doug helped me through those rough waters by listening, caring, and demonstrating Christlike servanthood. He encouraged me to keep serving, loving, and sacrificing for the King.

friend, what are you going through? Don’t give up. The Bible tells us, “Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.” (Galatians 6:9, AMP)

Because you are a living miracle, and I believe in you.
