friend, is loving yourself wrong?
Today, co-writer Paul Marc Goulet wrote the message of "A Miracle Every Day". I pray his message and audio will bless you today.

Loving yourself is one of the most controversial concepts that I’ve ever seen. It reminds me of the lyrics of an old ’70s song by Luther Ingram: “If loving you is wrong, I don’t want to be right”. In other words, if loving myself is wrong, I don't want to be right.
Many Christians have tried to convince me self-love is bad, ungodly, conceited or self-centered. I’ve called this type of belief “toxic faith”.
Faith is a word in the Bible that refers to a set of beliefs. Someone can have a belief that the world will end tomorrow or that all Christians should celebrate Passover every Friday. These are all types of beliefs, and each person will have his/her reasons for believing a certain way.
Many Christians have beliefs that have been passed down for generations. For example, the view of poverty or chastity or the concept that all flesh is evil, and only spiritual things are good. The concept of self-loathing comes from the belief that all flesh is evil. The ancient monks used to beat themselves as a sign of spirituality.
friend, do you believe that your body, personality, likes and dislikes are bad? Or is your body really the temple of the Holy Spirit? Do you believe that God loves you just as you are, or is He simply putting up with you? It’s hard to love yourself if your theology comes from the Dark Ages.
friend, the Bible clearly says that we should “Love your neighbor as [you love] yourself”. (Matthew 22:39, NIV)
If you don’t love yourself, how can you love anyone else? The verse says that we can love others in proportion to our self-love.
So friend, please take a moment and love yourself just as you are.
You’re a miracle.
