“It won’t be like this for much longer”

Publication date Feb 12, 2025

Have you ever accidentally left your house or apartment key in the door overnight, friend? 🔑 It’s happened to me a few times recently, and every time I realized it in the morning, I was so relieved that nothing bad had happened!

This week, when I saw my key left in the door again, I heard it: God's voice. No, it wasn’t a loud voice, but a thought He placed in my heart. The words were:

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will share a meal together as friends.” (Revelation 3:20 NLT

friend, what struck me is that many people might say, “Yeah, yeah, I’m a believer,” but they’ve never consciously invited Jesus into their lives. You know, Jesus doesn’t just walk in uninvited—even if the key is left in the door.

Let me put it another way: Jesus won’t fully move into your life the way He wants to just because you say, “Yeah, I believe in God.”

It says: “If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in…” (Revelation 3:20 NLT

friend, you have to consciously open that door for Him. And then consciously listen to His voice. What we easily forget in our daily lives is:We may be born into this world, but we are made for eternity! Yes: In the midst of it all, you belong somewhere else!

And just like that, the key to eternity is still in the door. It’s accessible to everyone. It’s accessible to you, friend. Because eternity is real—and Jesus will return. He says:

“If you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief.” (Revelation 3:3 NLT

friend, open the door today for your best friend, Jesus. Invite Him in and let Him be the only focus of your life.

You are a miracle!
