Jesus alone brings peace!

“I took out my Qur’an and prayed, God, if this is your word, show yourself to me through this book. But, instead, something drew me to the New Testament.” Today, I’d like to share with you the incredible testimony of Nadia, an Iranian widow and mother of three, from this book I very highly recommend. Our God is truly a God who saves! He is the only One who can bring real peace into our lives. “‘From my childhood,’ Nadia said,‘I have been very curious about Jesus...when I watched the Christians, they always seemed to be at peace, and more importantly, I knew that we were not. In our family we prayed the daily namaz, and we were always crying out to Allah, but inside there was nothing. I felt nothing.’... It would have been hard to imagine Nadia finding peace in the life she had known...Crime and drugs ravaged Nadia’s family... ‘I learned that one of my cousins had become a Christian. When his family came to visit us, I asked him for a New Testament, and I read it. Inside I was in a revolution. So I prayed, God, show me what is really true. When I got home that night, I took out my Qur’an and prayed, God, if this is your word, show yourself to me through this book. But, instead, something drew me to the New Testament.’ ‘As I read it, I felt my heart open like an old door, and I understood every verse with all my being...From that time on, Jesus’s work started inside me. It was a strange happiness like nothing I’d ever known. I was like the Samaritan woman telling everyone about Jesus. Within a week my husband Sasan and three children came to faith in Christ.’ Nadia’s testimony is one of thousands that are bubbling up in contemporary Iran in what is certainly the greatest turning of Muslims to Christ in Iran’s history, and quite possibly the largest turning of Muslims to Christ in the world today.” Glory to God! friend, would you like to praise and thank the Lord for His powerful work of salvation in Nadia’s life, in Iran, and in Muslim countries around the world?
