Jesus is standing right beside you!
What is it that currently prevents you from living your life with joy and peace, friend?
For years, it was this one, so precious thing that kept me awake at night. So many people write to me, in need, and I would love to respond to each one of them. But it's simply not possible because I also have to attend to my work, take care of the household, and handle mundane tasks like accounting. And most of the time, I'm on the go to performances, preaching services or interviews.
And especially when everything hits me at once—who doesn't know that feeling—then I have my moments too, friend, moments when I just want to crawl into bed. Of course, I have such moments too, I won't pretend otherwise, but I know it's SO IMPORTANT to remind myself that God is there!
"On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, 'Peace be with you!'" (John 20:19 NIV)
Just imagine this scene: even the disciples were afraid and had locked themselves in! But despite the locked doors, Jesus appeared among them. The Bible says, "Suddenly He was there!" And not only that, He greeted them: "Peace be with you!"
Jesus wants to speak peace into your perhaps worrisome week. He is there, even when fear overwhelms you! He doesn't stop at the closed doors in your life, because He loves you, friend!
Reminding yourself that HE is there helps you recognize how senseless your fears actually are.
Would you like to pray with me, friend?
"Jesus, thank You for being here and thus taking my worries not only near but into Your hands. And there, worries turn into miracles. I know it, I believe it, I speak it over my current situation, in Jesus' name, Amen."
You are a miracle!
