To be or not to be, that IS the question!
I had just boarded a plane with a whole team including a cameraman, assistants and producers to shoot upcoming worship songs in the desert. Behind me were so many preparations and fears: "Will everything really go well? Will we be able to take all the technical equipment on board?"
So far, everything had gone well, and now we were all seated with our luggage on board when my phone rang just before takeoff: "Dad is in the hospital."
Do you know that feeling, friend, when you receive bad news but you're not sure how it will turn out and you're in absolute uncertainty?
"We can't say anything yet; we have to wait for the examination."
Great... I'm here ready to take off in the plane. Should I cancel everything? Can I still get out of this? And my mother, though with tears, said with divine trust, firm and sure: "Déborah, you have a mission. Go in peace and follow through. The same peace is with us here."
Peace is the presence of God in the absence of human securities.
The Bible is full of assurances that God wants to fill us with His peace, but we must keep reminding ourselves of this! Because humans tend to choose despair where God's decision already stands, to gift us with His peace.
Jesus also says to you today:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me." (John 14:1 NIV)
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27 NIV)
friend, if you, in your human way, cannot find peace, then you can ask for the peace that Jesus can give you!
You are a miracle!
