Let's be honest…

Publication date Dec 4, 2022

Yes, let's be completely honest today, friend. I always write to you about the many miracles I've experienced, firmly convinced that you will also experience miracles in your life! But I also have "construction zones" in my life, and I deliberately call them that because it means the work is simply not finished yet. God's work is not "finished" yet in me.

Anyone who lives in Germany or Switzerland knows about the never-ending construction zones on the highway. Drivers so often end up waiting in traffic jams because of them…

friend, I'm sure that at some point in your life, you, too, have been stalled by a construction zone. Movement forward comes to a standstill. So you wait. If this scenario describes your life right now, I'd like to reassure you: you can trust God that it's going to turn out well in the end (see Romans 8:28). :-)

May I share a brief story with you today? I never expected to have trouble with my eyesight, but not long ago, my vision suddenly started to blur in one eye. The doctor found something there that couldn't be operated on. It certainly wasn't a diagnosis that I ever wished for, but hearing that "nothing could be done" humanly speaking reminded me…"When 'nothing can be done,' it's high time to let God work it out!"

At first, an unexpected situation like this can look like being forced to wait in a construction zone. But do you know what, friend? You will always receive new strength to persevere; to trust; and yes, to continue to LIVE while you wait in God's presence! :-)

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31, NKJV)

To wait on God means to hope expectantly in Him, trusting in His character and not our own strength. Yes, friend, in the waiting, He will give you new strength day by day! He will empower you to withstand your situation and find victory through it.

Today, let's choose to wait ON and WITH God!

You are a miracle!
