“My God Knows My Struggles”

Publication date Feb 7, 2025

Peter had no idea how quickly his world would change. Peter was overly confident in his ability to follow Jesus, and he made bold claims about his unwavering faith. He bragged about his rock-solid commitment and yet, Jesus knew that a time was coming when all would not be right in Peter’s world.

In a tender moment, between Jesus and His precocious follower, Jesus says:

"Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail." (Luke 22:31-32 NIV)

It’s easy to feel like our struggles are unknown to anyone but us. In the middle of a crisis, we often feel as though no one understands the depth of our pain. But Jesus knows, and feels our pain. Jesus knew Peter would face incredible temptation and failure, and that ultimately, he would deny Jesus. He also knew that, down the road, Peter would find His way home and be restored!!! Jesus knew the full story of how Peter’s world would be made right again!!!

friend, Jesus knows your WHOLE story!! He sees your heart, your struggle, and the burdens you are carrying, right now!

What is amazing to me is that Jesus doesn’t just acknowledge our pain, He prays for us! When we are weak, He prays that our faith will not fail. Jesus prayed for Peter before his trial, and He continues to pray for us now. That is an incredible assurance in the middle of life’s storms.

My friend, today, if you are facing a trial, remember that Jesus knows exactly where you are and what you’re going through. He is praying for you, just as He prayed for Peter. Rest in that comfort today, knowing that your Savior is interceding on your behalf.

Listen to this description of Jesus from Hebrews 7:

“Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” (Hebrews 7:23-25 NIV)

He lives to intercede for you! Allow that power and prayer to make your world RIGHT today!“Jesus, thank You for praying for me and for knowing my struggles. I rest in the knowledge that You are interceding on my behalf. Strengthen my faith today and help me to trust You more. Amen.”

Never forget my friend...

You are a miracle!
