One prayer can save a life!

“How can someone as fat as you run at all?” 

One sentence. One! One, that would change my life completely.

I was thirteen years old and so far I’d never really been concerned about the fact of weighing 172 pounds. I was bigger than the other girls my age.

But this one sentence… it almost killed me. Yes, you heard right, friend. 

I lost 66 pounds in about a year. I ate half an apple a day and worked out like crazy to make sure that I’d weigh even less the next morning.

Of course my body started to struggle... up to the point that I couldn’t move my left leg anymore. My body was fading away…

My parents didn’t want me to leave the house, as I kept on fainting. So coming home late one night, sneaking by their bedroom, I suddenly heard my mum cry so loudly: “We can already get a coffin for our daughter, she’s gonna die anyway.” 

And she was right. The doctors had told us that I would have four more weeks to live, max. 

But then my dad responded crying, but confident: “No! We’re going to pray for our daughter and our daughter is going to live!”

friend, something so miraculous happened that very moment! Everyone who should have had answers had given up on me. My parents, who had no answers anymore, turned to the One who did:

“For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV)

And it was their faith that, when everyone else had given up on me, reached my heart and healed it!

When you feel like giving up, look up! friend. One prayer can save a life!

friend, I really want to encourage you, that no matter what you, or a loved one, is going through, keep praying, keep believing! Because one prayer can save a life!
