Seek, and you will find!
Let's rediscover together the famous Bible passage where Jesus reminds us that everything we need is found in God:
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33, NIV)
friend, I invite you to reflect on the following question today: What are you really seeking? Are you trying to:- live a balanced life- grow and improve your marriage- raise your children to follow Jesus- be successful in your career- build deep friendships- provide for your family
In short, are you trying to be happy?
All these things are legitimate, good, and approved by God. In fact, He encourages you and wants to give them to you. He wants to be your primary source of blessings.
Often, we think that happiness is something independent of us, something dependent on external circumstances. Internally, we think, "Once I achieve that, then I will be happier." But God wants to teach us that He is the only source of true happiness. That's why we need to seek Him first.
In His first sermon, the "Sermon on the Mount" (Matthew 5:1-48, NIV), Jesus said "blessed" nine times. The Greek word for blessed—makarios—also means happy.
We can fully experience this state of happiness and joy only through a deep relationship with the Creator of our soul.
friend, keep these truths in mind:- in Him, you are complete (Colossians 2:9-10 NIV) - in Him, you live, move, and have your being (Acts 17:28 NIV)
I invite you to seek Him passionately and let yourself be found by Him as we listen to this powerful song by Lauren Daigle called “First.”
By the way, friend it's interesting to see that while God invites you to seek Him first, He seeks you first.
You are a miracle!
