Speak out the passion of your heart!
This topic of "voice" that we've been discussing the last few days is so exciting to me. Not because I'm a singer but because of YOU! Even without knowing you personally, friend, I know for a fact that your voice can move and accomplish so much!
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice." (Proverbs 31:8-9, NLT)
friend, there are so many ways to speak up for those who cannot that sometimes it might feel overwhelming. Where do you start, and where do you stop? At least that's how I feel sometimes.
I recommend that you listen inside yourself. What is your heart beating for? What is the passion of your heart? God hasn't let your heart beat just by chance. He has a purpose for the passions He gives you. Allow that powerful voice to speak! Consider how you could take a concrete first step.
Yes, just take that first step, accompanied by much prayer, and you'll be pleasantly surprised how quickly you're on your way—HIS WAY!
friend, maybe something within you has been waiting for release for a long time. Why don't you speak it out in faith today? :-)
I was a little over 20 years old when I was asked on TV, "What do you dream of for the future?" I couldn't stop my tongue. The words shot out of my mouth without warning: "I'd like to start a facility for women with eating disorders." Jesus tells us in Matthew 12:34, "'…For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.'" (NKJV)
After the interview, I thought, "Oh…that was a little presumptuous. What are they going to think of me?" friend, because I spoke it out, the right people found out about my dream and eventually started it with me. Today, praise God, this facility still exists, and many women are currently being helped there!
It would be such a shame if we never knew what our voices could do! That's why I encourage you, friend...Speak! Listen within yourself, and then let it out!
