The Sword: What has brought you down?
Today, we're delving into "the Sword." The Sword that helps us defend ourselves against attacks. Yes, even to destroy what aims to destroy us permanently.
Perhaps you feel like a wounded soldier right now. You're on the ground and have lost everything. Then I say to you today: "Gather all your strength again and reach for the Sword once more. The Sword that will save your life!"
About this Sword, the Bible says:
"Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." (Ephesians 6:17 NIV)
friend, are you on the ground because someone told you that you're an absolute failure? Then reach for the Sword, the Word of God, which encourages you: "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." (Philippians 4:13 NIV)
Are you on the ground because your finances are in shambles? Then reach for the Sword, the Word of God, which reminds you: "So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' ... Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. Trust God more." (from Matthew 6:30-32 NIV)
Are you on the ground because you're so lonely that you can only cry? "Be strong and courageous (to rise again!) Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!" (Joshua 1:9 NIV)
What has brought you down, friend? I want to encourage you today: "Gather all your strength again and reach for the Sword once more. The Sword that will save your life!"
Now close your eyes, bring what has brought you down before God, and ask Him to speak to you personally through the Sword, His Word.
Do what you can, and experience how He will do what He can!
You are a miracle!
