These three will remain

Publication date Dec 15, 2021

There has been a crazy shaking in our cities and nations in the past year. So many businesses have shut their doors and shuttered their windows. I’ve often been saddened about the loss of lives, careers, graduation ceremonies, and years of athletic competition.

What will our lives look like next year? Which businesses will remain? Whose marriages will survive the massive amounts of stress?

The Bible speaks about the nature of life. Change and loss are part of the life cycle: “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NIV) I love these words written by the Apostle Paul: “these three remain.”

After all of the deaths, lockdowns, abuses of power, and losses of freedom, these three things remain: faith, hope, and love. Hallelujah! That truth pumps me up. People will betray you, family members will break your heart, and the devil will try to torment you, but rest assured that God will make sure these three remain, no matter what.

friend, do you really understand this promise? Faith is the belief that God loves you and saves you. Hope is the belief that God is on your side and that He will rescue and bless you as you seek to follow Him. Love is a choice that will help you make a lasting difference in conflict situations.

I’m praying for you today that these three will help you cross over into a better place because you are a miracle, and I believe that you will make it.
