This Is How You Will Be Happy Today!
“Whoa, Deborah! How can you always be in such a good mood? Is it genuine?"
You won't believe how many times I hear this phrase, friend. Yes, it’s genuine. In fact, it's a decision I make again and again—and it couldn't be more biblical.
Because this decision is so good for me, I would like to tell you about it! I’m sure you don't mind starting the day happier, do you?
Let's see what the Bible says about this:
“Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." (Nehemiah 8:10 NIV)
First of all: It doesn't say that you can't be happy until everything is going well! Logically, if you are currently experiencing good things, then you are happy about it, but this verse doesn’t say that. It says here: "...the joy of the Lord is your strength!"
You can look forward to this joy from the Lord every day!
Remember that He has already done so much for you. That alone would be enough for your whole life! But if you really, really, really believe, then you will know that God will do you good for all eternity. We can also read about this in the Old Testament: “Now you have been pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, Lord, have blessed it, and it will be blessed forever.” (1 Chronicles 17:27 NIV)
Woooooow! THAT is cause for rejoicing in the Lord no matter what's on the agenda today.
Okay, okay... I know everyday life and reality often make it difficult for you. Could it be that you forgot a little thing, friend? Have you perhaps forgotten to stay connected to the One who wants to give you all this?
God’s word says:
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7 NIV)
What are you waiting for when the One who wants to give you EVERYTHING has been waiting for YOU for a long time?
Connect with Him.Thank Him.Ask Him.And Experience Him!
You're a miracle!
