Unnecessary Pressure
Do you ever wake up in the morning and think, “Where do I even start? There’s so much to do today.”
I believe we all feel this way sometimes. Whether you’re a student or retired, there might be very different things to take care of, but somehow, we all manage to create this—let’s be honest—often unnecessary pressure.
If you take a moment to pause, you’ll quickly realize that much of it may not be that bad. Maybe even beautiful?
For example, you’re not sure how you’re going to pick up the kids on time today? What a beautiful problem! Are you aware that some people wish more than anything to have children? Your boss expects top performance from you today, and you don’t feel up to it? Well, be glad you have a job!
friend, I think you get my point! Take a moment to pause and recognize the blessing behind your problem!
And if you can’t find one, here’s my very best tip: If you’re asking yourself, “Where do I even start, there’s so much to do today,” then don’t ignore God’s voice that has been calling out to you for a long time: “Start with Me! Start with Me!”
Or have you forgotten His offer, friend?
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28 NLT)
Isn’t that exactly your problem, that you’re feeling overwhelmed? Then come, come to Him.
Here’s how I pray:
“Jesus, I don’t know where to start, it’s just too much. But I choose to start with You because I need You.Let me experience how You lift my burdens today,as things resolve themselvesand You open doors for me without my doing.Thank you that I am important to You!I love You!Amen!”
Start with Jesus today and see for yourself what He can do for you, friend.
You are a miracle!
