Were you born to be a game changer?

Publication date Jan 5, 2021

Game changers are people, inventions, or ideas that radically transform parts of society, a company, a family, a school, a city, or a community. Game changers change things. Whoever discovers a cure for COVID-19 will be a game changer. I can think of so many game changers in sports, politics, church, or business. Jordan, Pèle, Gretzky, Ali, Montana, and Ruth come to my mind so quickly in the sports realm.

friend, do you know any game changers? What’s your favorite sport?

In the sociopolitical realm, I think of Churchill, Lincoln, Washington, Eisenhower, Reagan, Dr. King, and so many others who echo throughout time. In the realm of faith, I think of Jesus, Paul, Peter, Thomas, St. Francis, Luther, Wilberforce, Graham, Heidi, and Mother Teresa.

Who do you think made a big difference in the primary kingdoms of this world?

My new book Game Changers was written because I needed to be inspired. I wanted to make a difference, and I knew there were certain qualities I needed to add to my life. Plus, this COVID-19 mess has thrown us all for a loop.

friend, do you also need to be inspired?

I’m here this week to inspire and encourage you that “it’s not too late.” The one quality I want to underline today is “all game changers are normal people who do extraordinary things.” The Bible says, “For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.” (Romans 8:19, NIV)

Humanity, your family, and your city are waiting for someone to step up and step out for God and others. Whether your name is Esther, Paul, or Ruth, you were born for this time. “‘...And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?’” (Esther 4:14, NIV) So choose to step up for God and others this week.

Because you are a miracle.
