What if your heart CAN be healed? ❤️🩹
When was the last time you really decluttered ?
I recently did that, and it went wonderfully—except for the bathroom. It was hard for me to part with things there, even though they had been sitting around for years. Who hasn't experienced that? And so I thought, "Hmm, I could buy a small cabinet for them, where I can put all these things. Then they won't be scattered around, and it will look much tidier."
Haha, as if that would solve the root problem! The truth is, I still wouldn't use these things. So they would still be sitting around. Just hidden now. The truth is also, I would be spending money on a cabinet that I don't really need.
So I would just be shifting and hiding the problem, not really dealing with it. friend, truly healing comes from confronting your problems. So don't start shifting or hiding them!
Where in your life have you hidden problems, weaknesses, jealousy, sadness, and maybe even hatred in a drawer that is now on the verge of exploding? Do you fear that all of this will catch up with you soon?
In the book of Ephesians, it says:
"You were taught to put away your old self, your old way of living…(so get rid of it) Put on your new self, created to be like God, truly righteous and holy… Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed… Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you." (Excerpts from Ephesians 4:22-32 NLT)
Did you know that this is directly addressed in the Bible, friend? And you know that the Bible was given to us to simplify our lives. (See 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT)
It gets easier when we declutter—throw out everything that takes up too much space and burdens us. Where do you start today, friend? I'm happy to help with a prayer:
"Father, today I want to separate myself from everything that no longer belongs in my life. Yes, reveal what I've hidden, and even forgotten. In Jesus' name, I detach myself from all of that to put on the new, pleasing and honoring to You! Amen."
You are a miracle!
