When ‘Keeping On’ seems impossible.
Yesterday, I told you about how it seemed like a larger project I had been working on for a long time was "for nothing," so to speak. I'm saying that with a bit of exaggeration, but you know what I mean... you have dreams, you invest in those dreams, and they seem to burst.
And while I was processing this pain, I was also finishing another project. Equally extensive. Equally big. Of course, logically you think then: "Is all of this even worth it?"
Oh friend, I can't see you right now, but I can imagine that you know these situations!
Maybe you've been sent from doctor to doctor and none could help you... and now you're supposed to go to the next doctor. Maybe you're in the process of writing the hundredth job application or looking at the hundredth apartment, just to get the next rejection. And yet you have to keep going so that things keep moving... you know that, just as I do.
I know, friend: "It's not easy to keep going with disappointment weighing on you." That's why you need a change of perspective: "With Jesus in sight, you can also take that next step!"
Having Jesus in sight means having hope for a miracle to happen!
And that hope speaks to you today: "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." (Isaiah 41:13 NIV)
During this time of my truly great disappointment, the following verse brought me back on track, which is why I want to share it with you today:
"Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free." (Ephesians 6:7-8 NLT)
Don't expect the miracle from people when God will grant it to you!
Let it happen! I believe in that with you, friend!
You are a miracle!
