friend, you are an heir/heiress of the Kingdom! 👑

How can the Kingdom of God be defined? Interestingly, the term "Kingdom of God" or "Kingdom of Heaven" is mentioned a hundred times in the Bible. By comparison, the word "Gospel" is mentioned only 90 times, and the word "Church" also a hundred times.

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33, NIV) 

We are all convinced of the importance of the Gospel, the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. We are all convinced of the importance of the true Church, the bride of Christ. But only a few recognize the importance of the Kingdom.

This word, when broken down, means "the domain of the king," and its etymology suggests "what belongs to a king." Jesus is King! And His Kingdom is unlike any other kingdom, any other rule on this earth.

"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." (Romans 14:17, NIV) 

When Jesus asks us to seek His Kingdom first, He actually means that we should seek the One to whom this Kingdom belongs, and that with all the values He represents: justice, peace, love, humility, goodness, gentleness, etc.

As a follower of Jesus, you belong to this Kingdom. Jesus is your good and wonderful King, who brings peace and justice to His Kingdom.

You are not only part of this Kingdom but even a co-heir! You are the beloved child of the King, and He calls you by your name!

You have a secure place at His table, and He promises you countless treasures. In Jesus' name, all of this belongs to you.

"As his children, we are – together with Christ – also his heirs. If we share in his sufferings, we will also share in his glory." (Romans 8:17, NIV) 

So, seek first the King of this Kingdom and everything in His heart, and all these things will be added unto you!
