“You belong somewhere else!”

Publication date Feb 11, 2025

Did you watch the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games last year?

When I saw the image of the Last Supper denigrated, I was filled with an overwhelming sadness about humanity. It was as if God allowed me to feel His sadness.😞 And right away, my friends started posting on Facebook, clearly feeling the same way:

"Just turned on the TV and switched it off after five minutes. What’s happening to the world? I don’t want to be a part of this anymore."

Today, I want to remind you of something: While you're in the middle of it all down here, remember—your true home with God is far more dear!

And that’s something to celebrate—even in the midst of this crazy world! Look at what Paul wrote to “God’s chosen people who are living as foreigners…” (1 Peter 1:1 NLT

He says—and these words apply to you, too, which is why I’m speaking directly to you, friend:

"God the Father knew you and chose you long ago (What an honor!!!!)... and his Spirit has made YOU holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give YOU more and more grace and peace.” (1 Peter 1:2 NLT)

friend, you’re right in the middle of it all, but you’re going somewhere else soon!😲

Don’t forget that when you turn on the TV and feel despair.

Don’t forget that when politics take their course.

Don’t forget that when you face illness or when wars break out.

"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance … And through YOUR faith, God is protecting YOU by his power (not your own!!!) until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.” (1 Peter 1:3-5 NLT

That leaves me with just one question: "Do you truly trust Him?"

You are a miracle!
