You Should Invest, friend
Recently I sat with a pianist who has been successfully touring the world since he was young. Now he's in his 60s and has accumulated a lot of experience. I love pestering people like that with questions so I can learn from them.
"I immediately started investing my first fees wisely," he told me. "Today, I don't have to worry about money anymore. I would never have to perform again, but I will continue, because there's no one waiting for me at home. Without the stage, I would be alone."
Yes, this gifted musician has invested. His whole life, in fact. But he didn't think to invest in the most important thing you can have. Love.
The Bible says, "Follow the way of love… " (1 Corinthians 14:1 NIRV)
Oh and I know, these days you might say, "Love is the most uncertain deal you can make. There are absolutely no guarantees." But whoever believes that, has actually invested in the wrong love and has not experienced what God’s perfect love has to offer.
In black and white, you can read how God says to you, "Love never fails…" (1 Corinthians 13:8 NIV)
God’s love. Not just any love. His love will never pass away. You will only experience this love, in this endless form, if you invest. Invest time. Invest prayer. Invest rest. You can do that even without having a cent in your bank account!
Have you already invested in this love, friend? Or are you still waiting to receive something from this love…from God?
Believe me: Whoever invests here knows that he will never lose.
It is the safest deal, not only on earth, but a deal you make directly with heaven! Because, "Love never fails…" (1 Corinthians 13:8 NIV)
Will you invest time, prayer and rest in this love today, friend?
You are a miracle!
