God is with you!

AMED 41.15

Home | A Miracle Every Day | Miracles | God is with you!

In the Bible, Jesus is also called Emmanuel, which means “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23, NKJV) What a wonderful name!

This name says it all: God is with us, without a doubt!

  • When everything is going well for you: God is with you.
  • When things get complicated: God is with you.
  • When you feel loved and supported: God is with you.
  • When you feel alone, sequestered by this virus: God is with you.
  • When you think you’ve been abandoned in your suffering: in fact, God is with you.

He simply cannot do otherwise…it is His identity. It’s what defines Him. Even if He no longer wanted to be with you (but even that is impossible), He couldn’t because it’s His deepest nature to be with you, to accompany you.

Jesus is with you, every second of every minute, of every hour, of every day!

His presence is your greatest weapon in this hour. Enter in now to the powerful message in this song, “My Weapon,” by Natalie Grant.

“Your presence is my greatest weapon

Pushing back the darkness

Breaking every chain

My worship opens up the heavens

Crushing every stronghold

When I speak Your name

‘Cause Your presence is my weapon

Your presence is my weapon”

Today, you are completely surrounded and upheld…God is with you!

I been a Christian most of my life. I don’t know why we all had to suffer because of Adams sin. Makes no sense. We r not to take on other people sins bible tells us, parents for children etc. Why do we continue to ask for forgiveness when he died for all the sins of the world if we except his son as personal savior? why he made a sinful world for us to be forced to handle daily. Why did he make some with disabilities that they have to suffer daily and can’t even have a relationship with others because of it, and others don’t understand nor do they. We have Holy Spirit we need more to deal with this life on earth. Lots r not making it.

      • Tiffany on 15/04/2020 at 8:01 PM

        Tk,

I have a chronic disability that keeps me from doing some of the things I love, and I’m in pain most of the time. I have asked God the same question you did many times. “Why do I have to suffer God? I love you so much and have done so much for you. ” You know what He said? “Look at what I did for you.” That statement stopped me in my tracks. Nothing and I mean nothing, that I have ever done for God can even come close to comparing to what He gave up for me. What He gave up for US. God gave up His only child for us, and Jesus gave up His very life. That guaranteed our salvation, and an eternal relationship with God. What it didn’t do is guarantee a pain-free life. We live in a dark, fallen world, and until we join Our Father in Heaven, we will have suffering in this life. But there is hope. Jesus Himself said, “In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.” When Jesus sacrificed Himself for us, He took on the sins and darkness of the world, and when He came back to life 3 days later, He DEFEATED all that sin and darkness, and even death itself. He has defeated everything we suffer, so even when it hurts deeply, and we don’t understand it or wish it would end, He understands that pain and has felt it and so much worse. But again, death and pain has been defeated! Someday we will be rejoined with Our sweet Jesus in Heaven, and He will wipe away all of the tears we’ve cried. He will take away all of our pain and suffering, and we will live in eternal bliss. We will live in His Light and Love forever. Hold onto that hope, Tk. You will be in my prayers. God bless!

I feel closer to Him through the scriptures and music. This devotion today is by far the most powerful one yet. Gods presence is a weapon ..He is our ABBA always going before us.
