Happy Easter!

The Bible encourages us to “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” (Psalm 34:8, NLT) And Jesus said, “Take this and eat it, for this is my body.“ (Matthew 26:26, NLT) Although these verses sound kind of weird, they contain a spiritual truth that can empower your life forever.

I work out several times a week. Health is one of my core values, but one thing that confuses me is power drinks. They have become a billion-dollar industry, but I’m not sure they are very healthy. Could there be another way to get power?

Do you need more power? Do you need power to run a business or raise a family? Or maybe you need power to resist temptation? 

To be honest with you, I believe we are all looking for more power to accomplish significant things with our lives. That’s why I’m celebrating Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday is all about the power of the resurrection.

After the resurrection, Jesus made this bold promise: “…Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49, NKJV)

Do you know the five types of power that God wants to give you? Which one will you be asking for?

1. Exousia is divine authority for daily life. (see Revelation 2:26)
2. Dunamis is the explosive, miracle-working power of God. (see Philippians 3:10)
3. Energia is the energy from God. (see James 5:16) 
4. Ischus is the strength to accomplish great things. (see Ephesians 1:19)  
5. Kratos is the power to influence and have dominion. (see Revelation 5:13)

God loves you, and He wants to empower you with the power of the resurrection. 

Real power comes from the One who raised Jesus from the dead, not from an energy drink from a local store. It’s all available to you. 

You’re a miracle.
