A fixed charging station

Publication date Aug 24, 2024

"Where is my charging cable," I wondered after returning from a trip.

After working on the computer for a while, the battery was now empty, and I was too tired to search for the cable. So, I went to bed without thinking about the next day.

Well, to my surprise, the next morning my computer hadn't magically recharged itself. Now I couldn't continue working. friend, in that moment I realized why we often run through life without power.

Our lives—like the computer—keep going and going. We are constantly busy. We know that time with God is important, but we quickly need to do this and that, and before we know it, it's evening again. "I'm too tired now, maybe tomorrow," is the last thought before our eyes close.

And suddenly, nothing works anymore. Unexpectedly, everything stops working: "I was fine yesterday" you might still think, wondering why you're so exhausted and full of worry today.

friend, just like your computer, you need a fixed charging station. You need to plug in there regularly so you don't run out of juice. You can actually think of it like your computer. It doesn't take an extra lap before shutting down. It mercilessly turns off, and only after getting power again does it continue.

We should be just as consistent in turning off everything we find so important to seek the One who wants to give us new strength and joy:

The Bible is clear on this: "But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit." (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT

Don't you want to live in THIS blessing, friend? For this, I always want to find time, so I won't have to search anymore!

You are a miracle!
