Am I still needed?

It all started with: “Then what am I still needed for?” 🤷‍♂️

A question you might be asking yourself right now. A question my mom asked herself when she realized that AI could actually do a really good job translating my German texts from “A Miracle Every Day” into French. HER job.

And right away—really, instantly—this sentence came to mind, and I want to share it with you today:

“Don’t let AI take away what YOU have to give!” ❤️

Yes, AI makes sense. Yes, it’s a good translator. Yes, it’s helpful. Yes, it supports our work. But… It’s not you.

It doesn’t know tears. It has no backstory. No heart that empathizes when words are not just written, but lived.

My mom doesn’t just translate texts—she shares in the burden, she empathizes, she prays, and sometimes she pauses because a sentence touches her deeply. And it’s the same for me when I write. Sometimes I write a text in 20 minutes; sometimes it takes me two hours because I get lost in the Bible and am deeply moved myself.

And that is irreplaceable. YOU—with your emotions and your gifts—are irreplaceable. ❤️

God gave YOU something no machine can copy: your voice, your compassion, your way of bringing light through prayer—in a way only YOU can.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)

God has something planned for your life—and that won’t happen through AI! These “good works” cannot be automated. They are your calling.

Let AI help you and your work, sure. But don’t let it carry out your calling. Don’t let all the talk about “AI taking over” or “We don’t need you, we have AI” distract you from what God wants to do in your life.

And never forget who you are: A thought of God, not of AI. A vessel of hope. A HUMAN with a DIVINE calling.

Don’t let AI take away what only you can give.

Because you are needed. Real. Alive. From and WITH the heart. 💛
