Are you free from sin, friend? 🤍
"I never wanted to do it again, but now I have, and I feel terrible. My sinful actions or words have drawn me away from God."
Maybe you've also had moments like that, friend. It doesn't have to be a big sin; it may be something you just can't get a handle on in your everyday life, and you notice that it puts distance between you and God.
I have fallen so many times, but my response is to hold God's hand even tighter in the future!
One reason we fall so often is because we may not fully understand what Jesus has done for us! We can change our perspective by focusing on our God-given position in Christ: "It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption." (1 Corinthians 1:30, NIV)
You shouldn't go through life thinking you're a sinner anyways, not once you have accepted Christ’s redemption for your sin. Instead, believe that even though you keep falling, Jesus has redeemed you!
Let's take a closer look at the word "redeemed." It means "to set free, to make free, to save." Jesus wants to set you free from your sins, big and small! He not only wants to—He can!
Do you want to be free, friend? Do you want to accept this gift? Then let's go to Him in prayer: "Jesus, I am ashamed of the sin that's still such a big part of my life. Again and again, I seem to fall into the same traps, and then I run away from You rather than towards You. Today, from the depths of my heart, I ask You to deliver me from my sins and help me more fully understand what You have done for me. In Jesus' name, I am free. Amen!"
You are a miracle!
