Are you in the mood to shine for Jesus today, friend?
Are you “in the mood” to shine for Jesus today, friend? Or to put it another way: “Do people notice that you have a hope that is the reason for your joy today?”
The question of whether you "feel like" shining for Jesus or not is understandable. Sometimes I run to the supermarket, for example, because my fridge is empty and when I see the long queue at the checkout, I don't feel like smiling at everyone.
It happened again recently, but with God's intense awakening in my heart lately to tell people about His love all the time, I started cracking jokes in that lineup.
The man behind me immediately joined in, and I heard myself say, "You can move ahead of me; you have so little in your cart.." He was so touched by this gesture—to value others above myself—that our conversation deepened. (see Philippians 2:3)
The man said, “May I introduce you to my two daughters in the car? They are experiencing poor self-image issues right now." Inside, I immediately thought, "Oh God, that's You again, isn't it?" With my background, I felt an affinity for these girls.
friend, there are SO MANY ways to share hope, that's why raising your voice is so important!
Yes, if we don't just go through life just focused on ourselves, we will have a thousand opportunities every day to tell about our living God!
May I encourage you, friend, to do just that today! Turn a moment that stresses you into a moment that influences others for good!
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." (Romans 1:16 NIV)
You are a miracle!
