Changing the world through giving.

Publication date Nov 27, 2022

friend, I want to share a moment with you that made my heart jump for joy! My wife Laurel and I had the privilege of joining the spiritual family of Jesus.net and A Miracle Every Day, for a conference in Rotterdam, Holland. During one of the sessions, our worship leader asked us to join together in the song, “How Great Is Our God”. Each person sang the same song but in their own language!!! It was an amazing moment! As the praise poured out, I was so overwhelmed with gratitude to be a part of such an amazing movement of God’s spirit and hope!

The reason this movement of God exists is because of YOU!!! *[FNAME]*, you are both the recipient and the reason that A Miracle Every Day exists! I am so grateful to play a small part in writing to you about God’s generosity for the next several days.

The worship moment in Rotterdam was such an unexpected gift. I did nothing to deserve it but I was so blessed to receive it.

I believe God created us to love gifts because He is the ultimate gift-giver. Evidence of God’s giving nature is all around us! Think about these miracles:

We are God’s creation. He gave us His image and we are a reflection of Him.

“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27, ESV)

God breathed life into our lives. He gave us the gift of life and breath.

“Then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.” (Genesis 2:7, ESV)

God gave us the gift of purpose.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10, ESV)

God gave us the gift of His Son so that we could have a relationship with Him and spend eternity with Him in Heaven.

“‘For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.’” (John 3:16, ESV)

God gives and gives and gives some more. And, because we are a reflection of Him, we can know greater joy through giving! God is a generous God and we are called to be generous too!

friend, as you take a few moments to reflect on ALL that God has given you, my prayer is that God will overwhelm you with His generosity and that in turn, you will make generosity a way of life!!! Thank you for being a part of the A Miracle Every Day family!

You’re a miracle!
