Do You Have Peace, friend?

Publication date May 16, 2023

Before we get into this week’s exciting topic of "How does GOD speak to me?" I want to take a little detour that may be a bit more challenging. But "challenging" is often exactly what we experience while we hope to hear God speak directly to us, isn't it? It is important to me to always present to you authentically and realistically what a relationship with our great God looks like, so what I tell you today must also be said :-). Have a great week!

Do you have peace in your life, friend?

Think about it. Are you at peace, or are you stressed because there are so many decisions you should make? Do you already assume that God won't answer you, so you don't even ask Him anymore?

Or are you possibly even afraid of His answer, because you actually know that you shouldn't do what you are about to do at all, and you’re afraid He will also answer you exactly in that way?

If that is the case, I can already tell you—without knowing you personally—that you cannot have peace in your life. God meets you within the framework of your trust towards Him, not when you distance yourself from Him because you don't trust Him when He sometimes says "no" or stays quiet.

"The Lord is good to the one whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him..." (Lamentations 3:25 NIV)

This means it is important to always—that's right, not just sometimes but always—inquire of God what His will is!

"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:..." (Psalm 37:5 NIV)

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (Isaiah 26:3 NIV)

Notice how all three verses say, "Trust in Him!" That can't be a coincidence! Maybe today you were hoping I would tell you what you need to do to hear God speak directly, that I’d tell you how to get all the answers for your life, and now you're thinking, "This is not what I’m looking for."

Or is it? What if today, in the midst of your questions, God wants to say to you: "Trust Me." Period. "Trust Me, friend."

As you learn to trust God, keep going back to Him, again and again, full of expectancy! For as you trust God, you will experience how He looks at your life, how He turns His gaze on you and offers that peace you are currently missing.

friend, this peace wants to reach your heart! This peace can fill you today! Do you trust God?

Thank you for you!

You are a miracle!
