Enjoy this day!

Publication date Jun 14, 2024

Would you like to know today where you'll be in 2 or 5 years, friend?

I've realized that I not only would like to know where I'll be in a few years, I also want to master the things I'm learning today as if I've been practicing them for years.

So when the Bible says, "Trust in the Lord and do good... commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act," (from Psalm 37:3-5 NIV) it doesn't necessarily match my nature.

I naturally want to know everything and I want to act, haha. But this verse expects us to trust GOD and let HIM act.

A little golf lesson opened my eyes to this fact. I have absolutely no idea about golfing, but the instructor was really great. Calmly, he kept reminding me how to stand and how to hold the club to achieve the best result.

However, I bombarded him with questions that had nothing to do with a beginner. In my head, I was—once again—already ten steps ahead. This made me so tense that my golf ball... well, let's say, it more often landed off the golf course than on it, haha.

It wasn't until the instructor said, "Just relax and ENJOY the game!" that I managed to relax,. and suddenly my ball soared high and far, leaving everyone around me amazed.

I think it's often the same with God and us humans. We try so hard to do everything right, we want to plan the future perfectly, but we quickly forget to enjoy the here and now, and to trust Him for our "tomorrow."

friend, you can confidently place your future plans in God's trustworthy hands because He wants to bless you today!

Again: "Trust in the Lord and do good... commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act…" (from Psalm 37:3-5 NIV)

So then: Enjoy this day, friend! Enjoy!

You are a miracle!
