Don't let yourself be disappointed any longer, friend.

"...I have learned to be content in every situation." (Philippians 4:11 NLT).

That's what Paul says, and I find it quite challenging. Because honestly, it would be wonderful if I could say that about myself!

To be content in EVERY situation would mean that I don't let disappointments get to me... and we are constantly confronted with them, aren't we, friend?

Think of your disappointment if early in the morning, you realize your children haven't done their homework, even though they promised; or you receive unexpected news that the appointment you were looking forward to has been postponed; and it goes on like that throughout the day. There are opportunities for disappointment around the clock.

And yet, Paul says, "I have learned to be content in every situation." (Philippians 4:11 NLT).

But think of the opposite. There are not only opportunities for disappointment, but also opportunities for contentment around the clock!

One word stands out in the verse, and that is "learned." Do you remember when you had to learn something in school that just wouldn't stick in your head? But when you finally got it, it was the best feeling, right?

friend, it must be freeing when you've learned to be content in every situation! What does it take to get to that level?

Those who have BLIND faith in God will see many wonders!

"Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ." (Philippians 3:8 NLT).

This means that the most important thing in life is to know Christ, to give yourself completely to Him no matter what happens, to bring Him your disappointments.

When you've learned to come to Jesus immediately with your disappointment, you no longer see it as disappointment but as an illusion trying to steal your joy, the joy that Jesus wants to restore to you immediately! And that results in contentment!

Do you want to try it, with your current disappointment, and just come to Jesus, friend?

You are a miracle!
