Find more confidence
It’s great to have confidence in life. I believe confident people are happier and more successful in sports, education, and careers. There is a serious catch though—the source of your confidence may become a horrible problem or a big help.
Are you a confident person? What’s your source of confidence?
- Did you grow up with good looks or athletic gifts?
- Were you gifted with a high IQ or math skills?
- Did you have healthy parents who invested time, energy, and money into you?
Or maybe you have a lack of confidence from:
- Past failures
- Childhood or adult trauma
- Bullying and rejection in school
- Having been a victim of abuse
friend, I’m really sorry. I’ve spent my life helping people overcome some of these legitimate issues. I do it because someone did it for me. To be perfectly honest with you, I cried out to God, and He heard my cry. Do you remember this Petra song from the ’80s, “I Waited for the Lord On High”? It goes like this:
“I waited for the Lord on high. I waited, and He heard my cry.He pulled me out of my despair. He taught me how to walkFrom fear into security, from quicksand to the Rock.”
It must have been based on this Psalm: “In my distress, I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into His ears.” (Psalms 18:6, NIV) In this passage, David was in deep trouble, but he cried out to God and discovered Him and His perfect will.
God loves you so much. It’s always His will to help you, no matter what. The Apostle John was pretty clear about the results of believing this fact: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” (1 John 5:14, NIV) We find the source (kata) of confidence is knowing God’s will.
friend, you know His will. Please grab ahold of this truth, and you will have more confidence. That’s how you become a miracle, and that’s how I see you in my spirit.
