God doesn't think about that anymore…

Publication date Oct 17, 2024

Is there a sin from your past, maybe even from yesterday, that you believe God will never forgive? Then let me help you today with a little anecdote and the liberating truth:

Something just wasn’t right. I really wanted to go to this new, small restaurant right on the beach during my vacation. They had such nice loungers, and the price was perfectly reasonable, but their online booking system kept crashing.

So, I wrote an email. Unfortunately, I received the confirmation of my reservation far too late and had already made other plans. I didn’t reply anymore because it just got lost in the shuffle.

It wasn’t until the evening that I thought: “Oh, if I happen to be back here next year and send them an email, they will see the other email I didn’t respond to. And then they won’t take my new reservation seriously because I didn’t show up last time.” How silly…

We think this way because we are human. But don’t forget: God doesn’t think this way because God is God.

Maybe you think: “Oh man, I just failed yesterday,” or: “What a terrible thing I did years ago, God will surely think about that when I reach out to Him again…”

No, friend. No.

There are several places in the Bible that indicate God erases or forgives our old offenses. Let me overwhelm you with the liberating truth today, friend:

“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” (Hebrews 8:12 NIV

“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” (Isaiah 43:25 NIV)

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12 NIV

Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!” (Micah 7:19 NIV

This is the gift God wants to give you TODAY,

so don’t wait to experience it TOMORROW!

You are a miracle!
