God speaks and says nothing?
friend, when God—in the midst of a board meeting—clearly spoke to me: "Déborah, I am calling you out here"—and by clear, I mean really, very clear—a thousand different feelings overwhelmed me.
"But I love this organization so much. Look at what valuable work we do through the many well-functioning, social projects. I have invested over 10 years of my life and countless hours here, and not least, I am giving up my last 'secure' finances."
Believe me, friend, the next morning I woke up and thought, "Ooh la la, now it's getting exciting. Now I'm really starting independently in the Kingdom of God. It has to work," haha. That was just a moment of "the human Déborah" that came to light.
And friend, it's completely okay to have these doubts and to let the "human" speak sometimes. But don't forget to remind the human in you of Jesus in you! Because Jesus "in you" will always remind you of the paths of God, perhaps not visible today, but becoming real tomorrow!
Look, when God—very similarly—spoke to Abraham: "Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you…" (Genesis 12:1-2 NIV) none of that was visible yet!
Abraham had to go to experience God's promise!
And so, friend, I also want to encourage you today: To experience God's promise, you have to move from your place!
And may I remind you, as you go, of another truth that Jesus "in you" also wants to remind you of when human doubts arise?
"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us…" (Ephesians 3:20 NIV)
Will you move from your place today, to truly experience this WONDER-ful change?
You are a miracle!
