Jesus doesn’t need to “play the boss”...

Publication date Aug 3, 2025

Ever thought about that? Jesus had every opportunity to act like the boss.

We throw titles around so easily: CEO, director, leader, influencer, singer, author… And in church circles: Elder, lead pastor, etc.

Jesus could’ve claimed titles like “King of Kings” and “Lord of Lords” (Revelation 19:16), “Judge of the World” (Acts 10:42), or “Almighty” (Revelation 1:8) for His Instagram bio.

He could’ve printed posters announcing: “On July 24th, I, Jesus—the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Judge of the World, and the Almighty—will be in Hamburg to teach you how to live.”

But instead, He chose a totally different tone and simply said:

“Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.” (John 15:15 NLT) 🩵

Friends. Not subordinates. Not just followers. Friends!

That’s a completely different kind of relationship. Jesus doesn’t want a distant, cold submission—He desires closeness. Trust. Conversation. He opens His heart to you and shares His thoughts with you. 💭☺️

You really matter to Him.

That’s why Jesus gave the greatest sign of true friendship: He gave His life for you so that you’d never have to feel alone or insignificant again.

Maybe you’ve experienced friendships that didn’t last. But this friendship—what Jesus offers—is unshakable.

And today, He’s inviting you: “Come closer. Get to know Me. Trust Me—like a best friend. And experience a friendship that will last forever.”

That’s why EVERY SECOND you invest in THIS friendship is a second you’ll always gain from—never lose.

Jesus doesn’t need a title. Because what He wants is friendship. He’s always torn down barriers—He proved it when He went to the cross for you.

So draw near because you matter to Him. Do you know that?

You are a miracle!
